New Abstract Paintings
January 2010
More contemporary artwork by the artist Maggie Cousins has recently been added to the site. This new collection of original abstract paintings starts from just £225 - a great price for an original painting. Maggie's source of inspiration for her paintings, which she describes as ‘abstract landscapes’, is volcanoes. She's fascinated by the power and energy they hold, being responsible for creating our land masses so long ago. She incorporates ground pumice stone or plaster into the paint to create texture on the canvas and a slight 3D effect that gives the work more impact than just flat colour.
