Our Union. Modern art on canvas. Stephanie J Brown

New Artist - Stephanie J Brown

I'm pleased to say we've just added the work of another artist to our contemporary art website - Stephanie J Brown. Stephanie’s style has been likened to that of the Pop Art era, whilst at the same time considered 'edgy' by interior designers. Her images are bold and striking and are produced as canvas prints, in several sizes. There's some stunning photos of some of her work in situ on the website, which really shows people how a piece of contemporary artwork like this could transform their room. Angel - Love. Contemporary art print. Johnny Greig

Christmas Angel

This lovely and serene image of an angel would make a gorgeous Christmas gift. It's a bit more unusual than the typical presents you give and receive at Christmas like clothes, books and jewellery. And it lasts forever. Entitled 'Angel - Love', it's a really thoughtful present for the one you love. For more information on this piece of contemporary modern art, please click here.

Bluebell Spaces. Original contemporary art. Robert Dunt

Graphic Style

I was reading a feature on 'graphic' style recently, which showcased simple shapes in bold colours, from circles and spots to simple flower shapes and stripes. The colours and styles really leapt off the page, and if they can do this in a magazine, just think how a colourful graphic piece of contemporary modern art could liven up your home. This picture by Robert Dunt is a really good example. He's taken the concept of bluebells and translated this into an abstract and graphical representation, based on the colours that he sees. Energy Flow II. Original contemporary art. Maggie Cousins

Making a Big Statement

While looking through Woman & Home magazine, their 'inspirational home' feature discussed how to make a big statement. They recommended using bold wallpaper on one wall and keeping the other walls in a neutral tone. Instead of using wallpaper, you can create the same effect with a large, bold picture. And it's a lot more flexible too, as you can move it around if you fancy a change, and pop another piece of art in its place. The picture featured here is an original painting that's 92cm wide and it would certainly make a big statement! Click here for more information on this picture.

Blue Shells. Contemporary art print. Eat the Street Studio

Shells

While leafing through a recent copy of Country Homes & Interiors I noticed a bathroom that had seashell patterns made up of mosaic tiles on the bathroom floor. I thought it was quite nice and different to have a plain bathroom and have the feature on the floor itself. However, if you'd rather have the flexbility of a picture that you can hang anywhere in the house, this lovely 'Blue Shells' image is available as a canvas print or as a piece of acrylic artwork. Click here for more information.

Love. Contemporary art print. Eat the Street Studio

Copy Dolce and Gabbana's Style!

Pictures of one of Dolce and Gabbana's houses appeared in Grazia not so long ago, it's one of their holiday homes in Portofino, Italy. As you'd expect, it was striking and unusual, and had obviously been designed with a lot of attention to detail (like the dining room where the walls and floor were covered with gold mosaic tiles). Each of the staircases leading from the first to the fourth floors had a neon sign hung from it, based on words like 'love' and 'light'. It reminded me of the 'love' print we're selling which is available as either a canvas print or as a piece of acrylic artwork - click here for more information on this print.
