The artist normally only prints about 12 copies of each of her images, although the print is actually an open edition, which means the artist can produce an unlimited amount.

Supplied mounted (with an off-white mount) or framed (off-white mount in a flat 25mm wide ivory coloured frame - made from real pine wood with a white washed finish). Please note, framing will be done to order and so the framed print cannot be returned.

Sophie grew up in Dorset and was encouraged throughout her childhood to draw and paint as both sides of her family are creative. She started selling her paintings when she was 16 and in 1992 she graduated from Central St Martin's, having completed a BA Hons in Fashion and Textile Design. Shortly afterwards she began her career as a freelance illustrator and has had lots of work published worldwide for a range of items including wallpaper designs, jigsaw puzzles, cards, giftwrap, calendars and books. Her pictures are inspired by her life in Cornwall. She paints Cornish scenes with a naive simplicity and charm, working from both sketches and imagination. Sophie also creates pictures that are full of symbolism depicting clothing, hearts, keys, wishes and words. They are connected with the important things in life - family, love and truth - things we can all identify with.
