Louise Davies limited edition art prints
Spring Romance
From:
£100.00
Artist: Louise Davies
This etching of a couple is an original print. Only 80 have been produced and about 5 have already been sold. Each piece is an original because it's not a copy of another work of art and is technically known as an 'impression'. Etchings are created when an artist makes the master image on a metal plate and prints the image, approving and signing each impression.
Our collection of Louise Davies limited edition art prints can be supplied unmounted / unframed or framed (single ivory mount with flat 33mm wide ivory whitewashed frame). Please note, framing will be done to order and so the framed print cannot be returned.

Louise Davies was born in Swansea. She was brought up in the South-West of England, mainly living in Bath. She now lives in Blackheath in London. Her influences are Goya, Turner, Ivon Hitchens and Craigie Atkinson.
She studied Painting at St Martins in the 1980’s and later went to Camberwell where she studied MA Printmaking and graduated in 1993. During this period she became a mother and had three girls but managed to continue working from home. She now works full-time from her studio in Brixton which she shares with five other professional artists.
Her work is concerned with places and landscapes she has visited from the past and present. She is also interested in the natural light and the effect it has on the landscape. Her paintings and prints evolve from sketches and ideas which she then works on in her studio. Often she will not know how the end product will appear. The strong individual line she uses, along with the vibrant colours, is an intuitive response which has developed from years of putting images together in a visual field. Her work is exhibited throughout England and Northern Ireland. She has work in Private Collections such as St George’s Hospital (London) and the Citi-group (Canary Wharf).
